Abstract
Various instruments for academic procrastination measurement are assumed valid to identify tendencies and typologies of procrastination. This study tries to add some new nuances in the academic pursuit of academic procrastination through a grounded theory based study. Results from interviews were used to describe the dynamics of decision making of respondents during his/her procrastination. Terms such as task interpretation, personal work planning, task implementation and thinking process are components in the proposed tentative model. Application of the respondent's decision making in conducting academic assignments and mini theses are discussed
