Abstract

According to data from the latest WHO World Health Organization declared the death induced asthma in Indonesia reached 14.624, or 1.03% of total deaths. Indonesia ranks 69th world. In this research aim to know the profile of the quality of life, severity, depression status in patients with asthma. The study design used by the researchers is cross sectional. This study is a preliminary study carried out in patients with asthma who underwent outpatient health centers Kalirungkut Surabaya. This study used a questionnaire mini-AQLQ (Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire) to see the quality of life of patients with asthma and Q-Score to determine the level of severity. As for knowing the status of questionnaires HAD scale depression (Hospital Anxiety and Depression). Data processed qualitatively to determine the profile of the severity and quality of life, the severity of the profile with depression status and profile for the long-suffering with depression status of patients with asthma. Results of the study between the severity do not result in a poor quality of life sehungga cause depression.
