Abstract
The appearance of women emancipation movement and some progresses in social, economy, science, and technology field create broad opportunity for women to make themselves equal to men in attaining achievement! career. However the existence of women who really have achievement I career optimally is still limited. That because is Fear of Success (FOS) existence. The purpose of this research is to investigate the correlation between getting partner, affiliation, achievement, and power needs, and management orientation together with FOS. This research uses three kinds of questioners which measure the needs, management orientation, and FOS. Subjects were 113 students from the study program of Secretary and Man· agement Science of"X", aging between 18-22 years. The subjects were determined through a purposive and cluster sampling technique. The datas were analyzed by analyzed and the fourth order partial correlation. The result showed that there was very significant correlation between getting partner, affiliation, achievement, and power need, and management orientation together with fear of success (R = 0.778. F = 32.806, p = 0.000). Need of achievement contributed the highest score of coefficient (24.142%). Need of getting partner contributed the lowest score of coefficient determination (0.014%).
