Abstract
This research aims to determine the impact of the application elements of spirituality into the management control system in order to improve employee performance and loyalty. The application of spiritual value can be a reference in the management control system in the company. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, document analysis and direct observation. The period of data collection is conducted from November 2018 to February 2019. The findings of this study indicate that PT. X performs the implementation of management control systems without any element of spirituality, causing a decrease in employee performance and loyalty. The application of the spirituality element in the control system is expected to be able to provide benefits and change for employees because it is able to raise intrinsic motivation and form a work environment with a positive aura. In this study also explained the weaknesses related to the control system applied by PT. X and recommendations for improvement with elements of spirituality.
