Abstract

At present time, the need to get nutrition from vegetables is very important, especially with the urban community life patterns that tend to be busy and more often consume fast food for their daily food and with the development of IoT and the need for fresh vegetables it is necessary to make research related to hydroponic cultivation with IoT technology assisted also the problem to measure the right pH, ppm, and the temperature for good hydroponic media. Then in this study a hydroponic plant monitoring system was developed using Arduino. This system is equipped with temperature sensors, level of acidity and alarm as a reminder to re-add nutrients to plants. With this system, it is expected that people will be easier to monitor hydroponic plants during their busy life. This study shows high accuracy of pH and ppm by using Arduino and sensor for the hydroponic system. The measurement results between using sensors and manual measurements showed results with an error value of 0.44% for pH measurement, 0.71% for ppm measurements and 0.59% for temperature measurements
