Abstract
Organizational commitment is a psychological bond that an employee has with the company they work for, with a sense of work involvement, loyalty, and belief in the company's organizational values. In general, there are three components of commitment, namely: affective commitment, ongoing commitment, and normative commitment. Employees who have a normative and sustainable commitment do not guarantee that someone will stay in organization because they do not have affective commitment. Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to recognize emotions or feelings that exist in them or others. This ability helps motivate them and can also manage it in building social relationships. This study aims to see the effectiveness of emotional intelligence training in increasing PT's affective commitment. X Surabaya. Data collection methods used were interviews and observations.
