Abstract

Perselingkuhan adalah tindakan tidak seisiiuai dengan komitmen yang dibuat dua orangyang menjalin hubungan cinta. Bagi korban, perselingkuhan menimbulkan dendam, hilang rasapercaya, akhirnya tidak mampu memaafkan perselingkuhan. Dampak negatif ini mampumenimbulkan luka bantin jika korban kurang adaptif untuk menyelesaikan masalahInfidelity is an act that is not in accordance with the commitments made by two peoplewho are in a loving relationship. For the victim, infidelity leads to revenge, loss of trust, finallyunable to forgive infidelity. This negative impact can cause internal injuries if the victim is notadaptive to solve the problem affair. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationshipbetween emotional regulation and the behavior of forgiving victims of infidelity in a courtshiprelationship. Quantitative research was analyzed by descriptive test, cross tabulation, andhypothesis testing using Spearman's Rank test to obtain information related to the relationshipbetween the two variables. Sampling with snowball non-parametric sampling method. Theresearch sample was 138 students from the Ubaya Faculty of Psychology and 27 students fromother universities. The total sample is 165 respondents. The instruments used are the EmotionRegulation Questionnaire and the Rye Forgiveness Scale. The results of the descriptive testshowed that most of the respondents were in the moderate category for the variables of emotionregulation and forgiving behavior. For the Spearman Rank test, the results showed that thestrength of the relationship between the two variables was 0.402 and the significance value was0.000 0.05. There is a positive relationship between emotion regulation and forgivenessbehavior. The theory used in this study uses Rye to explain forgiving behavior and Gross toexplain emotion regulation and the results show that there is a relationship between the twovariables but the strength of the relationship is weak, this is due to respondents who still find itdifficult to forgive the infidelity they have experienced.perselingkuhan. Tujuan penelitian, ingin mengetahui hubungan regulasi emosi denganperilaku memaafkan korban perselingkuhan dalam hubungan pacaran. Penelitiankuantitatif dianalisis dengan uji deskriptif, tabulasi silang, dan uji hipotesis menggunakanuji Rank Spearman untuk mendapatkan informasi terkait hubungan antara kedua variabel.Pengambilan sampel dengan metode snowball non-parametric sampling. Sampelpenelitian 138 mahasiswa dari Fakultas Psikologi Ubaya dan 27 mahasiswa dariUniversitas lain. Total sampel yaitu 165 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalahEmotion Regulation Questionnaire dan Rye Forgiveness Scale. Hasil uji deskriptifmenunjukkan sebagian besar responden berada dikategori sedang untuk variabel regulasiemosi dan perilaku memaafkan. Untuk uji Rank Spearman, diperoleh hasil bahwakekuatan hubungan kedua variabel yaitu 0,402 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05. Adahubungan positif antara regulasi emosi dan perilaku memaafkan. Teori yang digunakandalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rye untuk menjelaskan perilaku memaafkan danGross untuk menjelaskan regulasi emosi dan didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat hubunganantara kedua variabel namun kekuatan hubungannya lemah hal ini disebabkan adanyaresponden yang masih merasa sulit memaafkan perselingkuhan yang sudah ia alami.
