Abstract

Amidst developing and expanding new organizations, associations are confronted with numerous contenders who urge them to attempt to find, and hold workers who are able and focused on the organization. Employee commitment is vital for the company, where employees can support and help shape the organization’s progress. The company's concern for meeting employees' needs is a benchmark for the formation of employee commitment. So the organization tries to provide training and development to employees in order to develop their competencies for the progress of the company. This is also done so that resources can get learning and growth not only for themselves but also for the organization, so that there is a commitment to be able to contribute more to the organization. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment. The subjects in this study were employees of CV. X Surabaya, 110 people obtained using accidental sampling. The data analysis technique used a product-moment correlation. The test results found that there was a positive relationship between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment (r=0.38, sig<0.05) with the small percentage of employees wanting to leave their jobs. Employee commitment can arise because of the belief that the company appreciates their contribution, and the company pays attention to the welfare of its employees. Therefore CV. X Surabaya is expected to continue to maintain its support and concern for employees. Di tengah semakin berkembang dan bertambahnya perusahaan baru, organisasi diperhadapkan pada banyak pesaing yang mendorong mereka berusaha untuk menemukan, dan mempertahankan karyawan yang berkompeten dan berkomitmen pada organisasi. Komitmen karyawan menjadi hal yang penting bagi perusahaan, dimana karyawan dapat menunjang dan membantu terbentuknya kemajuan organisasi. Kepedulian perusahaan terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan karyawan menjadi tolak ukur terbentuknya komitmen karyawan. Maka organisasi berusaha memberikan pelatihan dan pengembangan kepada karyawan guna mengembangkan kompetensi yang dimiliki untuk kemajuan perusahaaan. Hal ini juga dilakukan agar sumber daya mendapatkan pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan bukan hanya bagi diri sendiri namun juga dapat digunakan bagi organisasi, sehingga muncul komitmen untuk dapat berkontribusi lebih banyak kepada organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara perceived organizational support dengan organizational commitment. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan CV. X Surabaya sejumlah 110 orang yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan accidental sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil pengujian menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara perceived organizational support dengan organizational commitment (r=0.38, sig<0.05) dengan terlihat kecilnya presentase keinginan karyawan keluar dari pekerjaannya. Komitmen karyawan dapat muncul karena adanya keyakinan bahwa perusahaan menghargai kontribusi mereka dan perusahaan memperhatikan kesejahteraan para karyawannya. Oleh karena itu CV. X Surabaya diharapkan dapat terus mempertahankan dukungan dan kepeduliannya terhadap para karyawan.
