Abstract

Gangguan Bipolar adalah gangguan yang ditandai dan memiliki ciri khas yaitu naik turunnya mood secara ekstrim yang disertai dengan kenaikan maupun penurunan aktifitas dan energi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dinamika psikologis penderita gangguan bipolar.Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah perempuan berusia 27 tahun yang mengalami gangguan bipolar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode non tes berupa observasi dan wawancara serta beberapa tes psikologis. Hasil pemeriksaan yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa partisipan mengalami gangguan bipolar disebabkan atas berbagai faktor seperti pola asuh, hubungan antara orangtua dan anak serta cara penyelesaian masalah yang kurang adaptif dari peserta penelitian. Bipolar disorder is a disorder characterized by extreme fluctuations in mood accompanied by an increase or decrease in activity and energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychological dynamics of people with bipolar disorder. The participant in this study were 27 year old women with bipolar disorder. The approach used in this research is qualitative with case study method. The method used is a non test method in the form of observation and interviews as well as several psychological tests. The result of the examinations that have been carried out show that participants experience bipolar disorder due to various factors such as parenting patterns, the relationship between parents and children as well as ways of solving problems that are less adaptive from research participants. In this study, training on emotional regulation and coping strategies as well as training on interpersonal skills to improve the social relations of research participarts with their closest people.
