Abstract

Waste or waste pieces of cloth from clothing production cause environmental pollution, making human awareness weak regarding the importance of protecting the environment, especially caring for and preserving nature. This concept is associated with the WGSN Spring/Summer Trend Forecasting, namely Design wise'', which is the concept of building world justice (Equitable World) and wisdom. By inviting humans to be more concerned about the environment by considering an action so as not to harm, damage the environment and ecosystems. Design wise is a design that is made according to the wishes and needs with a system or principle that is smart, simpler, more sustainable. The introduction of morphological characteristics and forms of mangroves that produce several types of good quality wood, quite strong and durable and has several types of mangrove species, one of which is the Rhizophora Apiculate mangrove species which is widely found and widespread in Indonesia with flower characteristics and unique flower morphological forms will be used as a reference in the application of making a collection of fashion product design designs that are fused with the trend forecast Spring/Summer 2023. Mangrove is the main inspiration that fits the Concept of Design Wise. Application of embellishment Details in the form of surface design of the shape and morphology of Rhizophora Apiculate flowers to be used as Detail printing on fabrics and textile manipulation pleats, slashing-layering from the results of mangrove visual analysis and has been carried out several times experiments to be successfully applied in a collection on selected design concepts
