Abstract

The study aimed to examine gender and age measurement invariance of the Indonesian version of the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS-ID). Participants were 1,922 individuals aged 16-26 years (M = 20.835, SD = 2.284). The measurement invariance of the Indonesian version of the SWLS was tested using multi-group analysis. The research showed there was gender and age measurement invariance of the SWLS-ID based on metric and scalar invariance. Also, the SWLS-ID did not have measurement bias due to group differences. Thus, the SWLS-ID can be used to compare life satisfaction scores between gender and age groups in the Indonesian sample. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji invariansi pengukuran gender dan usia dari Satisfaction with Life Scale versi Indonesia (SWLS-ID). Partisipan yang terlibat sebanyak 1,922 individu berusia 16-26 tahun (M = 20.835; SD = 2.284). Invariansi pengukuran dari SWLS-ID diuji dengan menggunakan analisis multi-kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya invariansi pengukuran gender dan usia dari SWLS-ID berdasarkan invariansi metrik dan skalar. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan SWLS-ID tidak memiliki bias pengukuran yang disebabkan perbedaan kelompok. Dengan demikian, SWLS-ID dapat digunakan untuk membedakan skor kepuasan hidup antar kelompok gender dan usia pada sampel Indonesia.
