Abstract

Abstract The decline in the earth's climate was the cause for the birth of the 2015 Paris Agreement which was ratified by Indonesia through Law Number 16 of 2016 concerning the Paris Agreement on the Convention which disrupted the work of the United Nations on Climate Change. The degradation of environmental quality does not only have a local impact but also has a broad impact so that is the responsibility of all human beings to carry out environmental management and preservation. One of the strategic efforts that can be carried out to alleviate environmental issues is to involve the banking sector in green credit financing for MSMEs business actors so that they can realize empowerment and sustainability which will ultimately lead to sustainable economic development. Efforts to balance profit, planet and people simultaneously can be started from the younger generation by submitting environmentally friendly business proposal ideas that take advantage of advances in digitalization. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the model of implementing green banking in various countries and the role of the younger generation as well as banking institutions through green credit in a green business proposal scheme by MSMEs in order to achieve the goal of sustainable economic development in Indonesia. The writing method used is normative juridical using a statutory and conceptual approach. The data used is secondary data through literature study on primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The results of this paper show that various countries have committed to reducing carbon emissions through efforts to implement green banking and the role of the younger generation in maximizing inclusive economic development because there is a balance between economic development through optimizing MSMEs and creating a good environment through green credit by banking institutions.
