Abstract
Health is an urgent matter because it is a part of human rights that everyone has without exception. The existence of a doctor as a health worker, classified as a group of medical personnel, is needed for health services. In reality, there are still many problems that occur in health services, one of the cases discussed in this article is dr. ESHS who is the Doctor in Charge of the Patient who cannot save the life of an unborn baby at RSUD Sidikalang. The research method used in this article is normative juridical utilizing literature study. The approach taken is statute approach and conceptual approach. The result of the study was that dr. ESHS did not exercise his authority properly as DPJP in handling the baby in the womb of patient RU. There wereauthorities that wereexercised, but there werealso authorities that werenot exercised, so the medical services practiced by the doctor were not optimal. MKDKI or MKDKI-P should give dr. ESHS a disciplinary sanction in the form of a recommendation to revoke the doctor’s STR and SIP temporarily for up to one (1) year, or permanently based on the law
