Abstract
Abstract—The widespread adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs)depends on efficient and rapid charging technology. To address long charge times, a novel DC fast-charging system for EVs with LiFePO4 batteries is presented in this study, utilizing a fuzzy logic control system. Experiments conducted on the ZTE ZXDC48 FB100C1 LiFePO4 battery demonstrated significant gains in charging efficiency over traditional methods, resulting in shorter charging times without compromising battery health. The findings highlight the viability of fast-charging for EVs and suggest that wider adoption could be achieved through integration with smart control systems. However, further validation across various battery types and conditions is necessary to support these conclusions conclusively. Thus, this research underscores that employing intelligent controls for fast-charging is not only crucial for overcoming current EV infrastructure challenges but also essential for advancing the technology’s evolution and success. Index Terms—DC Fast-Charging, LiFePO4 Battery, Fuzzy Logic System, Electric Vehicle, Charging Efficiency.
