Abstract

This study was conducted to dctermine the factors that inlhnce and the most influence factor to the utilizotion of photwoltaic at Swabaya households and support energt saving through alteraattve energt substittttion, especially solar energt. This explanatory research collected primary data through questionnaires from household responfunts and intemiew some special reqnndents. The results of the structural equation model onalysis using Lisrel revealed that there ore three factors afect the use of sobr cell in Surabaya, start from the most important: government policies, social integration, ond the last is education and socialization Previotts research in Taiwon soid there are fow fqctors that inJluence, but one of them, support from social education unit not statistically significan in this sndy because people prefer the function rather than the units form. This resuh can be used as the work plan design consideration to increase the utilization ofphotovoltaic at Surabqn household
