Abstract

It conducted research to make the instaneous syrups in order to shorten the time of medicines dispensing in hospitals or health centers. The instaneous syrups were tested for the physicochemical stability before and after mixed with the drug. The tiamphenicol from capsule selected as a model drug. Syrups were made with CMC sodium as a suspending agent in concentration of 1.5% (formula"A) and 1% (formula "B") with pH of 5.5. The Syrups were stored at 5°C and 25°C for 30 days. The physicochemical stability parameters, organoleptic, pH, viscosity, and flow properties of the syrup, were tested. The tiamphenicol suspensions were stored at 5°C and 25°C for 7 days. The parameters of physicochemical stability of the suspensions, organoleptic, pH, viscosity, and flow properties of the suspensions, tiamphenicol concentration, particle size, and volume of sedimentation, were tested. The results of this study showed that the syrups of formula"A" and "B met the quality requirements of pharmaceutical product. When it mixed with powder of tiamfenikol capsules, the thiamphenicol suspensions (formula"A" and "B") were stable in all paramatersexcept the volume of sedimentation.
