Abstract
This paper present the study of spatio-temporal variability of rain rates to obtain a reliable characterization parameter like direction of propagation of rain cells, stratiform and convective rain event. The result show that the 87.25% of the characterized rain events have stratiform character and stratiform rain events have lower spatio-temporal correlation than convective .This work will apply to the design of site diversity at millimetre wave radio links.
