Abstract

Business to business (B2B), or well known as B2B (electronic B2B), is electronics transactions which is used to build connection between business organizations via internet, extranet, or private network (Turban 2000). The main purpose is to facilitate communication and to reduce communication gap between business organizations. In this research B2B concept is applied to build a connected inventory system between suppliers and retailers. If suppliers want to join this system they have to subscribe first. After subscribe they can sell their products (become a seller) to their retailers or buy products from other suppliers (become a buyer). When a ‘buyer’ create a purchase order to the ‘seller’, the system will automatically sent it to the seller as a sales order so when the seller’s users login to the system they will receive sales order information and they can reply to the buyer. B2B’s model used in this system is Many-to-Many Marketplaces model, which consists of many buyers and many sellers.
