Abstract
Distributor 'x' is a company that distributes plastic sacks, made by customer orders. Based on customer order, distributor 'X' purchases plastic sacks as a main material from sack factory and then send this order to printing vendor if any printing is required. On completion, distributor 'X' has to pick up this order and bring this order to expedition service. There are two major obstacles that distributor 'x has to encounter. First of all is the limited warehouse that makes distributor 'X' unable to save too much order before they are taken to the next process. The secord is distributor 'x' needs a relatively long time to complete orders from customers, because communication between distributor 'x', its supplier and customers using fax or phone may cause miscommunications. Finding the match combination of supplier to fulfill the orders also becomes a process that needs some time to accomplish. Just in time management that's applied in e-commerce for distributor 'x' may become a solution that suitable to overcome this condition. The processes, communications, data exchange and transactions will become easier, more responsive and more flexible using Internet. The system also designed to support distributor in finding the match combinations of supplier's offer on an order. JIT concept may reduce inventory because all processes of an order fulfillment will be handled by supplier.
