Abstract

Dakon is one of the traditional Indonesian toys that is very popular especially for many female children but can also be played by boys. The rapid rise of modern games has made Indonesian children less interested in developing traditional Indonesian games. Yogyakarta is a city that is very thick with Javanese culture and still has art-cultural heritage. The development of Yogyakarta tourist data is increasing. So souvenirs proved to be a very effective means of introducing Javanese culture. From observations in several souvenir places, a souvenir will be designed that is not only a decoration but can be played. Dakon has the concept of "Transformation from Ethnic Toys to Millennial Generation". So with these criteria is the impression that you want to be displayed on the game of dakon as traditional games experience changes to the development of the era without leaving the grip that has been attached to the use of archipelago decorative motifs that are applied in the form of games. In this generation to always be up-to-date with circumstances that are not far from the scope of the world of technology. Literature from Yogjakarta can be seen that it is identical with 3 symbols, namely Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslim. This symbol is applied to the Dakon motif so that tourists can know the characteristics of a city. Have packing that gives tourists easy to carry anywhere
