Abstract
This study contained a research that aimed at finding out the criminal sanction towards the perpetrator who showed hatred towards certain race and ethnicity in Indonesia through the print media in criminal law in Indonesia by looking at the analysis of Muara Teweh District Court Decision number 208/Pid.B/2015/PN.Mtw. This research used a normative-juridical legal research method, which means that the legal research was conducted using the primary legal materials which consist of regulations and other literatures, and a research on the related legal bases in answering the research problem. The approach used in this research was a statute approach and conceptual approach by looking at the regulations and the views or doctrines developed in the legal studies. The criminal sanction towards the crime of racial and ethnic discrimination is specifically stated in the Law Number 40 Of 2008 Concerning the Elimination of Racial and Ethnic Discrimination.
