Abstract

Antibiotic resistance has an impact on the quality of clinical services, so limiting the use of antibiotics is an effort to minimize antibiotic resistance, so a study will be conducted that aims to analyze the use of antibiotics based on the AWaRe classification and determine the suitability of antibiotic use based on the Ministry of Health's PPAB and PPAB Husada Utama Hospital in clean and clean contaminated surgical patients. This study is a non-experimental, descriptive, observational study conducted retrospectively using medical record data from patients in the surgical ward at Husada Utama Hospital for the period from January to June 2025. The selection of antibiotic types in clean surgical patients based on the PPAB of the Ministry of Health and PPAB of Husada Utama Hospital is appropriate (36.17%). The selection of antibiotic types in clean contaminated surgical patients based on the PPAB of the Ministry of Health and PPAB of Husada Utama Hospital is appropriate (16.67%).
