Abstract
Decoupling control is studied and applied for composition control in the methanol-water distillation process. A transfer function-based simulator is developed in Simulink for this purpose. The strategy of decoupling control and its application for multivariable system and the comparation of control performance with and without decoupler will be presented for both set point tracking and disturbance rejection problems. Ziegler Nichols and Direct Synthesis method are used to tune the controller.
