Abstract

In the global era where information, technology, and telecommunication collide and seems like borderless, unavoidable fact of the corporation rapid growth both quantity and quality. Corporation has shown its power in the economy system particularly in the developing countries such as Indonesia. The appearance of corporation has become a stepping stone to achieve the economic welfare in Indonesia. The strong-built and clean corporate are utmost important and being a pillar in Indonesian economy system. Proportionately with the increasing number of Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in Indonesia, the reality showed that numerous corporation involved in several corporate crimes such as corruption case and bribery case in Indonesia. The corporate crime would definitely increasing the victim and weakening the role and function of the corporation as well. Several types of corporate crime have create a greater victims. The victim of corporate crime suffers serious harm or even death as a result of wrongdoing in the course of legal business activities, in example unsafe products that harms the consumer, environmental pollution for the surrounding affected area, and also under safety workplace for the corporate’s workers. Crimes relating with corporate illegal activities typically have no structure for identifying victim’s loss and harms. Although the negative impact of the corporate crime is not immediately appear and brought to mind, the effects still can be detected and recognized. But on the other hand, the numerous corporate crime relating with corruption and bribery case has become a huge hurdle to be revealed albeit the development of anti-corruption regime in Indonesia. It is even worst when some of the corporate illegal activities relating with corruption and bribery give profit for both parties. Corporation even could earn direct or indirect profit from the crime. Moreover, it will create greater loss or pain to the victim or society as a whole. Indeed, the government and society all together suffer from corporate bad behavior. Therefore, it is need to revealing the victim of corporate crime as well as to identifying and analyzing the victim itself. Thus the interest of victims can be taking into consideration in the criminal justice system. The victimology perspective will be an effective tool to unveiling the victims as a pathway to reducing the corporate crime in the anti-corruption regime.
